Perhaps one could say that the limbic system, that which controls the emotions, is a more direct path to activating long-term memory. The research I&#039;ve seen says that appealing to the emotions is one way to bypass more analytical processes so you could almost conclude that it&#039;s a direct path to activation. But I don&#039;t have a research-based answer to that specific question.
